Open seasonally, this quaint, sandstone-and-wood lodge built in the 1930s inside Giant City State Park is a mile from guided trail rides at Giant City Stables.
Rustic cabins feature TVs, air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms. Upgraded cabins add minifridges, coffeemakers and living rooms, and some have wet bars, wall beds, electric fireplaces and/or decks. Kids age 5 and under stay at no charge.
Amenities include a country-chic dining hall, a bar, an outdoor pool and a kids’ pool, plus a wrap-around balcony, a woodsy lounge with vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace, and a water tower with an observation deck.
